Keep them coming
I was reading a long thread that originated after the release of the second trailer for the upcoming Star Trek movie and even before the film see the light of day it is getting killed, the expectations are again so out of proportion that the only way is down and out.
Why the endless bickering? The Sci-fi genre has enough detractors already. With the dilution of the Sci-fi on TV as a sign of where we are heading today. People, just be thankful that we still have something to watch and prey that something will resurrect soon before the rating dictates that that the only feasible project will be “dancing with the Romulans” of “Federation Idol”.
The couch potato critique doesn’t help.
If I get a TOS DVD and show it to my son today he would probably laugh, but we understand what it meant back then.
I remember when STNG ended I was so sad, after watching one episode a week for 7 years, it finally ended and I went and buy “A final Unity” for a moment I had the feeling that I was watching a lost episode, you would have a laugh if you see it now the low grade graphics on my old 486.

I imagine the contestants in Federation Idol...all fat and dressed up in costumes trying to sing like Uhura he he he! now I really want a show like that lasting one episode only to laugh.
