Plums and Pink Ladies
It was sort of weird to be asking "hmmm..should I take my jacket this afternoon?" after last Saturday heat and with fires still burning in Victoria, but that is how things are in this part of the world.
Melbourne was famous for its "four seasons in one day" climate, I think it just got more extreme, except for the water part, because if the opossite of 46 degrees is floods, well...we are waiting for it since all is dying out of thirst.
I needed the long ride badly, I missed it for more than ten days and this coming weekend might be the "Lorne weekend" so I went for it in an odd day, Monday?!@
I enjoyed it and it fulfilled its mission, I am somewhat more optimistic and that hopefully will see me through Wednesday. Wednesday is my Day in Hell.
Although I enjoyed it, I missed the company of Ale and Anton, I am so used to see them in front of me a few meters away to pile up at every red traffic light, exchanging looks, asking food related questions, like double checking if we bought ice cream or peanuts for the Saturday feasting.
We also share smells, every few blokes we catch the smell of Pizza or fish and chips and we are so hungry that we give each other looks and a "hmmm...yum"
So today I kept my nostrils locked up and I had a plum and an apple coming back from Port Melbourne.
