and on the 7th day Jack rested and eat a lot
The very significant milestone last Friday was truly memorable and perhaps the actual peak of my physical life.
I ran for 6 consecutive days. the mix of walking and jogging of roughly 30 kms a day for 6 days came to an end last week.
It has been s bit more than 6 months since I began my runs. a mix of 2 or 3 hours of brisk walks and a 90 minutes jog.
On Friday I that I was pushing it, halfway through my run my joints were a bit sore and my shins were burning. It is always a worry because after 40 I realized that injuries can really get complicated in terms of recovery or added complications.
I am not sure about the right balance in the sense that I feel better when I run every day, but I know it will get to the point when repetitive injury will occur.
I can hardly remember a starting day, but I remember mental tactics to get me going because "running" was always a synonym of pain, boredom, exertion, more pain. So I try walking and do very short runs downhill 100 metres at the most, then on leveled surfaces counting steps, like 90 steps of my left foot, then 130 and one afternoon I remember doing something like 15 minutes and from that day it developed into this habit, almost everyday runs, 80 or 90m minutes after 2 hours walks.
