Moving post codes by 1

We moved places last Sunday, just a few blocks away and yet we needed two full truck loads and we did the packing, loading and unloading under a severe storm, heavy rain flood and hail, quite the anecdote, but like many other things the superfluous distracts from essense, the 'thing' the move, the holding to, the letting go, the moving on and acepting change.
It was sad to drive by today and see the place we lived in for 8 years, the longest stay in the same place ever.
That place had an added charisma, it was our first 'back home' feeling after an unfortunate adventure in South America. Coming back to Melbourne was like reaching safe port and living across the entrance to one of the most beautiful parks along the Yarra was like paradise day after day. It was also the birth of my newly aquired adiction, long bike rides and super healthy leaving on an almost vegeterian diet, no smoke or dring, I can safely say my last address saw the rebirth of a new man. I strongly believe that places have ways to heal or ways to link or click with people, Melbourne and specially the Eastern suburbs and the city has that special vibe that re charges me.
So all in all I feel some nostalgia when I think about the place I Just left, no matter that is it 2 kms away only, that house was the place where my son grew and I know he loved and enjoyed that place. He took walks in the park and talked about the beauty of the place we lived and I enjoyed that quietly, but intently since I have very sad memories of where I grew.
The second item in my bag of crazy moving rant is "the stuff" the million things that we take with us wherever we go, boxes and furniture. To be continued...sleepy now.
