Hold on the restrospective for a little while
This is a bit of a symbolic gesture, the last thoughts for 2008.
As I probably mentioned on an earlier post, 2008 had a huge "Travel Vibe" all else was somewhat a continuation from 07.
Because of the new car and thanks to Luke's invitation, we started 2008 by going well up north almost 1000 kms and then an average of 100 Kms a day visiting everything we could while we were visiting Picton, NSW.
Soon after we came back to Melbourne we started our daily trips to the beach like there was no tomorrow. We caught some waves in our brand new boards and by the time the first school holidays arrive, Ale and Anton were travelling again, this time to Buenos Aires. I kept going to Lorne and doing my almost 100kms ride to Port Melbourne as often as I could.
The rest of the year was very similar, Great Ocean Road and long bike rides.
There was an extraordinary feeling all the way to the city in winter, the risk of showers the crispy cold afternoons, the adrenaline rush that 5 hour rides produces and the promise of " The Saturday Feast" after we came back to our house.
See you on the other side of midnight.
