And two months later...

The Olympic games, I don't watch it, it is like if the competitive sport watch gland was surgically removed from my body and now I look at the screen and nothing happens. I cant even wait until the Free Style 50m Swim is over that I walk away and tell the others' call me when they are done'. I think that lately if it doesn't have lasers or swords, I don't have the patience for it.
I managed to squeeze a bike ride a week in the past few months. The long ones, from home to Port Melbourne, a 4 hour round trip. This weekend is half gone and I stayed home watching this awful weather play tricks with my mood and will power. I miss it, I miss the views, the trees, the road, the path, Camberwell and the shops along Burke road, the city and the Yarra along Southbank and the Port Melbourne Library and finally the bay. Coming back when my son and wife come along have us eating some treats and coffee at Portofino or a some hot chips in the food court next to the Eureka building.
This is not the time to tell why I love Melbourne so much or why I came to appreciate the city and surroundings, but I will attempt to share the Melbourne experience very soon.
I know this is going from the colloquial to the parochial, but to close this Saturday of food and bad movies, it is perfect.
